Roles & Permissions in Pzaz

Updated Roles & Permissions

Every Filmspace member has a role, and each role comes with specific permissions tailored to their responsibilities in the filmmaking process. There are five leading roles:

  • Filmspace Owner — Full control over the Filmspace, billing, and all settings
  • Filmspace Administrator — Can share administrative duties for streamlined management
  • Creative Lead — Focused on creative direction and editorial decisions
  • Team Member — Full working access to the Filmspace; can create their own Filmspace
  • Collaborator — Minimal, task-specific access without a paid seat
  • Customising Roles

You can customise the permissions for all roles except the Filmspace Owner. When a role is customised, the UI displays an icon to indicate the adjustments.

Collaborators are unique in that their permissions are always minimal and specific to their assigned tasks. You can define which functions a Collaborator can access on a case-by-case basis.

    Seats and Access

The first four roles are considered main members and have paid seats. Collaborators do not occupy paid seats — they are intended for short-term or task-specific contributions.

    #GoodToKnow

Roles and permissions are designed to foster collaboration while maintaining clear boundaries. A Filmspace Owner can participate as a Team Member in another Filmspace, but roles cannot overlap within the same Filmspace.
